While the Noah River Pinot Noir is still our go-to value leader for a bold and juicy style Pinot, when you re looking for something on the lighter, silkier, more elegant side of Pinot Noir, then you won t find one any prettier than the Pavette for $15.

This “little peacock” of a wine blends grapes from Sonoma Coast, Anderson Valley, Santa Rita Hills, Santa Lucia Highlands, and Carneros provide the grapes that go into Pavette. After fermentation, Pavette ages for 10 months, with 70% of the wine in stainless steel and 30% in French oak, lending brightness and acidity while grounding the structure. Packed with classic Pinot Noir flavors, Pavette opens with red cherry and raspberry, with hibiscus following. Supple and fruity, yet more earthy than the nose would lead one to expect, Pavette s lush fruit is complimented with spice and tea undertones. Subtle notes of cranberry and a hint of pepper linger on the long finish.
